UX DESIGN | CONTENT STRATEGY
UX DESIGN | CONTENT STRATEGY
As a user experience designer specializing in content strategy, I am equal parts punctilious wordie and big-picture planner, as keenly attuned to the signage guiding a user's journey as to the business objectives and real-world constraints that get in the way.
Product design is a thrilling challenge. Articulating a complex problem with clarity--so that everyone understands what we are designing and why--is my sweet spot, developed over years of studying art, conducting innovation research, interviewing and listening, writing and translating, and working with startups.
Ultimately, every design challenge can be cracked by applying two forces: critical thinking and empathy. When these two collide auspiciously, great solutions reveal themselves.
With 15 years' experience working in enterprise, Big 5 consulting, lean tech startups, and academia, I am flexible and approach my work from a variety of perspectives using a range of methodologies and tools.
I can manage programs and projects, motivate teams, run innovation workshops, design task flows and information architectures, write evocative, purposeful content, create taxonomies and websites, edit html and css, prototype with Sketch, storyboard pitch decks and book chapters, research competitors and markets, think up company names and business memes, interview executives, build MARC records and databases, and translate literary prose.
I have done all of these things because I love words, art, and artful language, because I delight in learning and exploring, and because I thrive on challenges and hard work.
