What follows is a selection of my work. For a more complete and detailed account, please ask for my résumé.
USER EXPERIENCE & PRODUCT DESIGN
Working on an enterprise platform in collaboration with product managers, engineers, functional analysts, and solution architects, I apply design-thinking approaches and UX design tools to extend and enhance a SaaS marketplace for collaborative supply chain management. I have a direct hand in shaping the product, from kickoff through QA, whether articulating problem statements and use cases, storyboarding and wireframing flows in Sketch or InVision, defining terminology and producing UI content, or raising accessibility issues.
BUSINESS WRITING, EDITING, GHOSTWRITING, & RESEARCH
During my time at a business think tank, I conducted research in technology and the sciences, identified trends and innovations, interviewed thought leaders and executives, and developed the output that captured it all.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I created a social presence for a startup soon after its launch, while still in stealth mode. Initially targeting consumers, I later expanded to both consumers and the enterprise market seeking organic engagement and focused on raising awareness around privacy issues.
MARKETING
Appealing to both decision-makers and users means balancing technical detail with snappy visuals and engaging descriptions. Using WordPress, MS Word templates, and InDesign, I've created ads and landing pages for digital marketing campaigns and glossy sales collateral for field marketing. Often working as a marketing team of one, I've done it all: design, copywritng, testing, analytics, etc.
WEBSITES AND BLOGS
I came up with ideas for blog posts, conducted the necessary research, wrote the copy, selected the images, created the alt text, etc. I have built pages using HTML and CSS, Dreamweaver, and WordPress and have written copy for a variety of audiences.
TECHNICAL
Explaining how to use something--whether an electronic resource in a library or a software platform in a demo video or tooltip--requires logical thinking, unambiguous language, concision, and sometimes a clear speaking voice. I've applied them all.
CREATIVE
Playing with words is probably my favorite thing to do. Combining the broader thinking of strategy work with the precision of syntax is enormously fun. Translation also calls for both artful approximation and exactitude.
